Environmental is a broad concept regarding concerns for environmental protection. It widely incorporates any impact on humans, nature and animals. It advocates the preservation of the earth system. In our case, how a company liaises with the planet, respecting the earth and animals, reducing waste, pollution, gas emission, using renewable energy sources and more. 

The causes of climate change, clean water and oceans, and biodiversity could be mainly addressed to human activity. Corporates should increase the stewardship of natural resources, and promote sustainable developments. The last COP26 (Conference of the Parties) represented a key event to secure global net-zero by mid-century and limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius. 

Climate protection is one of the main common goals worldwide. The Kyoto Protocol is the first document with legally binding obligations for limits and reductions. The Paris Agreement followed, to limit global warming to well below 2 degrees Celsius compared to pre-industrial levels. Any country within such a common goal will take action to reduce its Greenhouse Gas emissions. Developed nations will take the lead and will provide financial assistance to developing countries.

The Environmental factor has been at the forefront of the ESG debate, increasing the focus toward low-carbon solutions. Not only countries but even regions, cities and corporations are setting carbon-neutrality targets. In almost any sector the trend is noticeable. Any actor should act today to stop this irreversible process. Decarbonisation and any environmental aspect should be kept in mind for a global positive impact.
